ILLUSTRATIONS
(Top) Working on some illustrations/ watercolor pieces to add to my dazzle store! 🙂 Can’t wait to show you all the finished pieces.
(Top) Always designing and looking at inspiration.(Top) I’ve been working late nights really trying to finish my bridal accessories collection. I really do love designing and then seeing my pieces come to life. Stitch seems to like being a involved all the time lucky here he just took a nap next to my stuff so the shooing away wasn’t to bad that night!
I was asked a little while ago to do some commission work for my sister in law. My brother and her recently just bought a home here in sunny California. Now as they get settled in she has been decorating the house. Knowing that I love to illustrate fashion she asked if I could do four illustrations for her. She wanted to put them in her dinning room which is connected to the family/ front room.
So, I thought to myself hmmmm what to do? At first she wanted my illustrations from my portfolio but I kind of need those haha. So, I told her I would create new fashion illustrations for her. She was more than excited for that idea. Lucky for me she trusted me and gave me the freedom I wanted to do whatever I wanted. Kind of dangerous I know! One of the toughest parts of starting a new project is coming up with the idea. I always find everything after that a piece of cake. As I thought about this new commissioned project I thought about what theme and what kind of story I wanted to to tell. I finally decided I wanted these fashion illustrations to be glamorous and with a strong sense of femininity. Usually how all women want to feel and look (glamorous). Then I decided I wanted to stick with deep jewel tones because I wanted confident glamorous women. Any woman that is going for glamorous lets face it is in reality a very confidant and comfortable in her skin type of woman.
This project was a little different than my previous too. I played with glitter and rhinestones in combination with my usual illustration media’s of copic and primsa pencils. And let me just say I loved using mixed media. Â So here is how the illustrations turned out. I’ll post a picture of them framed and on the wall when they are done with both. I hope you like them and thanks for stopping by!
So, while away in my absence I have been working on lots of different projects. On top of redesigning and relaunching my new site. I have been busy illustrating to get my works up on Zazzle for people to purchase. At times it felt like it would never all come together because I was being pulled in so many directions. Then magically as I kept working things came together and worked out. So, I hope that my dear readers that are reading this remember to just keep working hard on what you love. Eventually things will happen. Something I myself tend to forget only sometimes…. okay a lot (wink).
Right now my Zazzle store is a little small but it will continue to grow as I put more things there. I already have something that will be added soon that I worked on this weekend. So, make sure you stop by and check out some of my work. I’m like super excited between my Zazzle going up and my website too. I feel like one lucky girl that just won the lotto life couldn’t get any better.
Here is some of the things you can purchase in my Zazzle store. Â Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by and read my posts it means the world to me.
To make life even easier a new tab will be added on this blog that will link to my Zazzle store so keep a look out for that feature VERY coming soon.
Here is the link to my Zazzle store in the meantime.
