Good luck ladies, I’m so excited to be giving away such a beautiful necklace. And again, thank you all for your love and support!
Get ready for an adorable couple whose woodsy and rustic-inspired reception was truly the stuff of fairy tales….
This bride and groom’s reception reminds me of an ethereal magic found only in nature. I just love the tabletop burlap accents, tree stump cake holder, mason jar candles, and creatively placed bird accents. Don’t even get me started on that artfully designed dessert table—it looks so delicious! You can really see how the arrangements tie in perfectly with the overall rustic charm of the setting.
I’m so grateful that the bride and groom allowed me to share their beautiful one-of-a-kind wedding reception with you. Please be sure to scroll through for the entire story of how their romance began (trust me, it will make you laugh and smile).
Thanks for stopping by and I hope you enjoy this charming woodsy wedding!

How it all began:
I met John when he started coming back to church after a hard time, and I was the ward chorister. At first he would just come to sacrament meeting where he would see me, but never get up the courage to talk to me. After a few weeks he began attending more and more activities to try to interact with me; although he was a little uncertain because he thought I looked like a snob and reasoned, “well, I have nothing in common with her so I won’t even try to talk to her.”
Then our ward had a talent show for FHE, and I decided to play an original song on the guitar. John happened to walk in as I was playing. As you know, he is very into music and the guitar, so now he had no excuse not to talk to me. A week later he approached me and we talked about how much he liked the song and was interested in hearing more, and how he was also a musician. I was dating someone else at the time, so our friendship started as just sharing our music with one another whenever we wrote something new. As we shared and grew closer, I began to talk to him and trust him as a good friend. I would talk a lot about my relationship problems, and John just kinda sat through it all with SOOO much patience.
Eventually I broke up with my boyfriend, and John asked me out that very same week—although I didn’t know it was a date. I thought we were just hanging out with his friends who were bringing girlfriends, so he needed someone to be his “date.” I agreed and was very surprised when I asked where we were meeting up with the others and he said we weren’t. We ended up having a great time and I really enjoyed myself, secretly hoping he would ask me out again because he was a lot of fun and a great guy.
But my relationship with my ex-boyfriend was still really messy, seeing as we had just broken up; eventually John got discouraged and stopped trying. It wasn’t until later that I realized how much I really, really, liked him, and I hated that he had stopped trying. That’s when I decided to go after him. I put him through a lot of hot-and-cold signals, because I’m a girl and didn’t know what I wanted. But eventually I figured out that what I really wanted was to be with him. We had our little “DTR” and that was that.
John and I dated for about 4 months when he decided to serve a mission, and we both agreed that we wanted to continue our relationship when he returned. However, before he left he told me NOT to wait for him (because he felt it was unfair to me), although his first letter to me from the mission field said otherwise. Ultimately, I decided I was going to wait for John regardless of what he said….I waited until he came home, and we were married and now live happily ever after!

What I love about this brides and grooms pre-wedding photo’s is they are not afraid to be different. The vintage inspired dress, mixed with their heritage, and the grooms preppy suit is fun and pretty. I always think it’s wonderful when personality shines through the photographs. You really get a sense of who the bride and groom are and their style with this couple. Don’t even get me started on incorporating their heritage into their wedding so, refreshing and important.
Now before I close this post I just have to mention the brides vintage wedding gown. It is absolutely beautiful on her and so are all her accessories from the veil, gloves, and necklace! It reminds me of Audrey Hepburn! What girl doesn’t love Audrey Hepburn? So enjoy these adorable fun pre-wedding photo’s and try not to swoon to much over this brides beautiful wedding gown wink wink. Thanks for stopping by.
