Hello everyone It’s been a little while since I have posted! I promise though the next posts will make up for lost times. 😉 Life got super busy with Colby’s graduation and then with this photo shoot lined up. It’s interesting to find out how fast life can get crazy haha. I’m still over here pinching myself that we actually did it. This shoot has been in the works for months. Literally you don’t even know. It was so, much work,  so, much fun, so much planning and I cannot even start to explain.
Let me begin by saying. I wanted to have this shoot done shortly after Utah Fashion Week. Which was in September of last year. However, with some family emergencies I had to put the shoot on hold. Then life just kept happening. So, I decided there was never a good day. I chose a date and pulled the trigger. I realized the timing would never be perfect you just have to make it work. Just like life you make a choice and make it work! I guess in some ways this shoot taught me many different lessons.
Leading up to shoot was pure madness. My mom and I are very different people very opposite. However, she and I had a talk about this crazy shoot. She pointed out I was more than a designer. I had the ability to find people and put talented people together that worked well together. I guess I had never thought about it before from that perspective! And she was right I had the opportunity to stretch and find other talents in myself. Not just that but find other peoples talents. Sometimes you need those people to pull you back to see the whole picture when you are so, close. That you can’t see anything but what’s in front of your own nose.
Now onto the shoot. Meet the Nimbus gown the newest and final piece of my collection of Adverse Beauty. Which was inspired by the emotional and crazy of putting this shoot together. We also shot at the stunning Madonna Inn which is a magical place I cannot even begin to describe. Most of my gowns are inspired by flowers that need water to grow. Well nimbus is a storm that also brings rain which flowers need to grow. The name seemed meant to be and seemed to be the perfect addition and closure of this collection. Don’t worry I’ll be working on a mini collection which is in the brainstorming stages.
Well long story short after a road trip of eight hours round trip, long hours of shooting in just three days to shoot seven dresses. I’m so, EXCITED to show you the final results! I hope you love the collection and all the pieces as much as I do. I know this shoot fell into place just the way it was suppose to. Even when at time things fell apart and I had to go back to the drawing board.
Thank you for AMAZING patience and for always stopping by my blog and reading it.

Shy
